Tarik Brooks
Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, PIDC
Tarik is the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel with PIDC. He has gained a depth of legal experience and has a strong history of service to the Philadelphia community. A graduate of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania (B.A.) and Rutgers-Camden School of Law (J.D.), he worked with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and supported Pennsylvania’s citizens as an Income Maintenance Caseworker. Tarik began his legal career at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where he was a dynamic member of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group and focused on Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance. While at Drinker, he also provided pro bono legal services that included small business counseling and land sales in Philadelphia neighborhoods. As the current Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at PIDC, he leads efforts to negotiate business agreements, supports risk management, and collaborate to advance PIDC’s goals. Tarik is a proven leader in management, marketing, and development.

Clarissa F. Griebel is Director of the Governor's Woods Foundation and Managing Editor of DelanceyPlace.com a project of The Governor's Woods Foundation. She has experience in public policy research, advocacy, and fundraising. And works closely with the Foundation's Chairman, Richard Vague, the current Acting Secretary of Banking and Securities of PA, on his political and charitable giving. She is currently a contributing writer for Root Quarterly. Clarissa holds a degree in American and Comparative Politics from Bryn Mawr College.

Sara Strickland
Senior Officer for Biomedical Programs, Pew
Sara's career encompasses a wide range of experiences, from community arts programming to engineering research development. For five years she worked in academia at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University where she supported a total of over 100 faculty in the development of collaborative research proposals as well as science curriculum for high school students and the general public. She currently serves as a Senior Officer at the Pew Charitable Trusts, where she focuses on strategic planning, budget management, and special event logistics for a portfolio of biomedical research grants. Sara holds a degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and is an alumni of AmeriCorps VISTA (Philly Fellows). She also enjoys spending time mentoring undergraduates as they make the transition from the scholarly to the professional world.
