At Seventy, we offer a constant flow of unbiased information to help you understand Philadelphia’s government and political culture, as well as the critical issues facing the city and region. But more than that, Seventy also offers constructive recommendations for how city government could work more transparently and ethically, and make more effective use of the tax dollars you pay. City leaders might not always agree with our recommendations, but they don’t often ignore them. For instance, one City Councilman told the Board of Ethics recently that he wouldn’t introduce a bill “if the Committee of Seventy hated it.”
