Here’s a quick guide to the nuts and bolts of government in our region. Come to think of it, maybe it’s not so quick. For instance, Philadelphia’s divided into 66 wards – and those wards are divided into nearly 1,700 divisions (i.e., election precincts). What ward are you in, and where do you go to vote? You can find it here. And what district do you live in? Is that for the U.S. Congress? The state House and Senate? Philly’s City Council? They’re all different.
